The Lee has been used as a location for Midsomer Murders since the programme's early days, appearing under several fictional village names over the years.
The Cock & Rabbit has had starring roles of its own. It appeared as The Safe Haven in Death in a Chocolate Box and later as The Rose & Chalice in Saints & Sinners.

The Lee Newsletter marked another milestone in the pub's redevelopment with the opening of the new restaurant space at The Cock & Rabbit.

The Lee's own village history records that the present Cock & Rabbit was rebuilt and repositioned in 1907 by Arthur Lasenby Liberty during his reconstruction of the village green.
More than a century later, it is still in the same spot — welcoming locals, walkers, cyclists, visitors and the occasional television crew.
