Our front bar is everything you’d hope for from a country pub — an open fire, a good pint, familiar faces and the sort of atmosphere that makes “just one” rather easier said than done.

Head through to the back and things get a little cosier. There’s a snug with bar stools and a deep sofa, a double-sided log burner and a relaxed space overlooking the garden. Find your favourite corner, settle in and make yourself at home.

One drink? We admire the optimism.

Behind the bar you’ll find cask ales, local beers, carefully chosen wines, premium spirits and a seasonal cocktail list. A perfectly poured pint, a good bottle of wine or something mixed to order — whatever you’re having, there’s no great rush.

We show the big fixtures throughout the year, including the Six Nations and Autumn Internationals. Expect a lively bar, plenty of friendly banter and the occasional disagreement with the referee.
