Café au Lee

Coffee, cake & a rather lovely view.

Café au Lee sits beside the village green in The Lee, just outside Great Missenden, and is exactly the sort of place every village ought to have. Pop in for a coffee before a walk, catch up with friends over cake, or simply claim five minutes for yourself with a decent cup of coffee.

We serve proper coffee and homemade cakes, and in the warmer months the ice creams become something of a favourite — particularly with the smaller members of the family.

Come for coffee. Staying for lunch is entirely understandable.

Surrounded by some of the best walking and cycling routes in the Chilterns , Café au Lee makes a rather good starting point — or an even better reward when you get back. There’s fresh water for the dogs, somewhere comfortable to sit and, if the sun’s shining, one of the best views of the village green.

Open Tuesday to Saturday, 9am–4pm. Sunday, 10am–4pm.
